“Splendid !!!”
“Been many years since I bought a desktop. For last few years been working mainly on a MacBook which has been great in general, but I do a fair amount of composition in Sibelius, audio editing in Logic and some video in Final Cut Express, all of which it is usable for, but not ideally suited. So for a while been thinking about new desktop for a better work environment for those tasks specifically and had been planning for ages to go with a 27” iMac. However, I kinda figured I’d like to be able to use the thing in recording situations also so started looking at Quiet PC. In the end I figured I was getting more for my money this route, so I ordered a significantly up-spec’d Serenity Wavestation (3.4 Ghz i7 with no-fan cooling, 16GB RAM, 160GB primary SSD + 4TB secondary HDD with HDD silencer). Could not be happier. Shipped and arrived pretty quickly. Well packaged. It is eerily silent, perfectly usable in recording situations, super fast and the Dell 29” display is a thing of beauty, excellent for working in Sibelius or Cubase where wider is better, at least when I am not drooling on it.”
